American Rock Band 3-Door Down has announced the cancellation of the band’s summer tour due to a gradual kidney cancer diagnosis at frontman and founding member Brad Arnold.
Video posted on X, previous Twitter, 46, Arnold, started telling fans, “There’s not much good news today.”
The singer shared that after being hospitalized for the illness several weeks ago, she recently received news that she has a clear cellular renal cell carcinoma that spread and metastasized to the lungs.
“It’s stage 4 and it’s really not good,” Arnold said, adding that he is leaning towards his faith and “has no fear” about the diagnosis.
The Los Angeles Times plans to travel across the country and co-headlight certain dates before the band’s tour kicks off at Daytona Beach on May 15th.

Arnold, bassist Todd Harrell, lead guitar and backup singer Matt Roberts founded the band in the corporate community in Mississippi about 30 years ago. Chris Henderson joined the trio and played rhythm guitar a few years later and sang backup vocals.

In 2000, the band dropped their album “The Better Life” with the song “Kryptonite,” called “The Better Life.” According to The The Times, it is a hit single that has been streamed over a billion times on Spotify.
Later album releases included “Away From the Sun” and “Seventeen Days.”
The band has evolved since its founding, and Arnold and Henderson continue to be the oldest members of the group. In August 2016, founding guitarist Roberts passed away at the age of 38 at the age of 38 from an overdose of prescription drugs.
“Thank you for all the memories I’ve had so far. Now I think ‘It Not My Time’ is really my song,” Arnold posted on X, referring to the band’s 2008 hit. “This will be a battle, so we need a prayer warrior! I’m grateful to be the best fan in the world. We love y’all!”
