At least one aviation expert and former pilot tells Fox News Digital that he doesn’t think such a peace will continue as airports across the country report relatively few issues on the first day of actual ID enforcement.

Officials added that Texas law enforcement began issuing real IDs nine years ago, and that it is well covered by 90% of the population being listed as having real IDs.
On the other side of the country, officials from the Port Authority, which operates JFK, La Guardia and Newark-Liberty in the New York City area, said the latter “is not a problem.”

Reported from Newar Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, Fox News producers were able to experience escorts and security to have lunch without any problems.
Newark Liberty officials were giving paper slips to passengers who were not yet in their actual ID compliant as part of phase one of the rollouts.
He moved down the Jersey Turnpike to Philadelphia, and officials said he had a “smooth real ID day.”
“The checkpoint line was flowing all day, and TSA (Transportation Security Administration) had staff on hand to answer questions and handle passengers,” the official said.
“In PHL (Philadelphia International Airport), there was also a customer care team for the customer care team to greet passengers and ask questions or directly. Most passengers prepared to identify the actual ID status issuance when they approached their passport or checkpoint.”
At the other end of I-95, Miami International Airport reported normal traffic at checkpoints, highlighting that over the past year, the hub has partnered with the TSA to communicate with passengers, including terminal-wide signs, actual ID deadlines and alternative format identifications.

At Charlotte Dugrass in North Carolina, the wait time averaged 10 minutes throughout the day. Officials said the staff were “well prepared” for coordination.
At the busiest airport in the US, officials said everything is running smoothly.
“I was downstairs (near the checkpoint) and we didn’t see any negative effects,” said Herschel Glengent Jr. of Hartsfield Jackson International in Atlanta.
Boston Logan officials reflected that rating, adding that they also used the same advertising strategy as Miami in preparation for the actual ID deadline.
“At Logan, our customer service team will be reminded to have additional staff on hand during the rollout to greet passengers and give their IDs before entering the TSA line,” the official said.
But former commercial and private pilot Ryan Tseko told Fox News Digital in an interview Wednesday that the lull wouldn’t last long.

“The amount of delays placed in the system is huge,” said Tseko, who previously worked at United Express, and is now vice president of Cardone Capital.
“I don’t think the public was aware of it. I don’t think it was obvious,” he said.
“Many of these people are students who now have to drive around 12 hours.”
When problems began to arise, he predicted there would be a call to delay full implementation once again, as was the norm since the Bush era.
