The mother of a toddler who appears to have been abandoned at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Station this morning was announced, authorities said.
In a news release, officials with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office said the child was dropped off in front of the Victorville Police Station, department at 14,200 Amargosa Road, before 10:30am.
Details are limited and the situation around the incident is developing, but authorities say the child was dropped by someone who is only described as an adult black man.

Before finding the mother of the child, authorities reached out to the public in the hopes of finding parents.

Authorities did not say how they found the mother of the infant, nor did they release any information about the child’s relationship with the man who left the little boy behind.
Authorities said an investigation into the situation is ongoing, adding that anyone with information about the incident will be urged to contact the dispatch of a San Bernardino County Sheriff at 760-241-2911 or a San Bernardino County Sheriff at 760-956-5001.
