The Trump White House is aiming at Minnesota leaders that they do not respect immigrants and customs enforcement detainees as illegal immigrants charged in criminal vehicle murders are not yet in custody.
Adriano Langari Inga, a national German in Ecuador, faces numerous felony and misdemeanor charges in August last year with felony and misdemeanors of drunk driving, killing Victoria Eileen Harwell and hurting her teenage daughter and sister, according to local media.
“Illegal immigrants are now on the run as they killed drunk, innocent mothers and Democrats didn’t do the most important work.

“This is exactly why the Trump administration is taking action to hold these so-called “sanctuaries” jurisdictions accountable,” he added.
“The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainee in Langari Inga, 35, of Germany, in Ecuador, on August 4, 2024, along with Hennepin County Jail, Minnesota, after being arrested for murdering a criminal vehicle,” an ICE spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “The Hennepin County Jail did not respect detainees and released Langari on August 6, 2024 without notice to the ice, and he first entered the United States in June 2016, detained by US customs and border protection, issued an order for removal and undertaken removal procedures.”
The Sheriff’s Department said they are following rules released by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison on immigration-related issues.

“According to guidance from the MN Attorney General’s Office, HCSO cannot legally retain individuals in custody based solely on managed detainees issued by the Department of Homeland Security or the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). We have committed to working with federal and local partners to respect the constitutional rights of all individuals.”

President Donald Trump signed an executive order last month, cracking down on “sanctuary jurisdictions,” where he risks losing federal funds, particularly if he does not make changes to his immigration policy, particularly on how certain cities interact with federal law enforcement agencies in immigration cases.
“The term “sanctuary city” is very indefinite and that’s part of the problem with Trump’s use,” Frey told MPR News in an interview last month.

“In Minneapolis, it’s not our job, so we don’t enforce federal immigration laws. Our city has a separation ordinance in which our police and our civil servants do not collect information about whether individuals are documented or not.
In addition to Frey, a Minnesota Democratic official said, “If you’re an undocumented immigrant, know that you’re in my mind and I’ll continue to fight,” D-Minn. defended state sanctuary laws, including;
“With President Trump’s immigration policies targeting sanctuary cities like Minneapolis, the fear of ice attacks is very realistic and our community is highly vigilant,” Minnesota Sen. Omar Fate said in January after Trump was sworn in.
