Police are reportedly looking for a woman who tried to lure a child into a car at Paros Vedes Estate. They are also looking for a good Samaritan who intervened to help the child.

According to a news release issued by the Palos Verdes Estate Police Station, the 10-year-old was home from Luanda Bay Elementary School around 3:45pm on Friday when he approached a female driver who offered to ride him twice and said he would text his mother.

The interaction took place in the 2400 block of Pacheco, about half a mile from the elementary school campus, and the boy told authorities that the woman who spoke to him was the sole resident of the vehicle.

A man invited from Westla’s house abandoned at a gas station 22 miles away

“The child refused [to enter the woman’s vehicle]and asked a good Samaritan who had walked the dog nearby. [the boy] He knew the driver… the child told the Good Samaritan that he wasn’t,” read the release of the police station at Paros Verdes Estate. The child was able to safely return home and report the incident to his parents. ”

When the officers received the call, the officers immediately rushed to the scene. However, they were unable to find a man who helped the female driver or the boy. The detective is seeking information about both identities and has released the following explanation:

Female driver: black woman, about 30-50 years old, medium build, brown haired female vehicle: light blue, new model SUV similar to kia ev9 new model SUV good Samaritan, about 70 years old white man, wearing baseball cap and black sunglasses, walking through white lab

Based on the information and statements provided, PVEPD has contacted the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, part of Luanda Bay Elementary School, to assist in the investigation, and the jurisdiction of nearby law enforcement agencies has also been warned in the case. Notifications to parents will be made by the district, police added.

The 46-year-old man is being asked by authorities and family after being not seen for more than a week

Details surrounding the active investigation were not immediately released.

Anyone with information surrounding the case, including the identities of a suspect or a good Samaritan, will be asked to contact Neil Sisson of the Paros Verdes Estate Police Station by calling 310-378-4211 or emailing insission@pvestates.org.
