Happy Mother’s Day: There are so many airy outings around Southern California, some of which are very much about moms, but Tanaka Farm has Mother’s Day lunch on the hills – the other conversions are fun and spring-like, perfect for family-friendly dayouts (large bamboo bird sculptures discussed at Botanic Gardens in South Court). Venice Family Clinic Art Walk & Auction Open: Southern California is the ties to so many notable art events and important fundraisers, including this venerable event (which marks its 50th in a few years). Starting on May 9th at the Venice Art Walk Gallery, the funding “…funds Venice Family Clinic’s innovative and comprehensive program” service is a service that supports thousands of people in several Westside communities.

“Summer Salsa” begins: Dancing at La Plaza de Carta i Art on a warm spring or summer evening is a delight that is cherished by many locals. The Get-Moving series will be returned in Rumbankete on May 9th. This is a free Salsa Dance class if you want to hone your Sway, check out Super DJ Robby tunes. Is this a Friday pop-up set that will dance on some dates of entry starting in September? Very sweet: It’s totally free.

Blowing Friday Winds at Gamble House: Pasadena’s Most Famous Artisan House – which served as Doc Brown’s Abode for “Back to the Future,” but not its fantastic architectural tour, it’s also a series of Friday events that warm up. Bring a picnic, hang out on the grass, and listen to the tune for $5 on Friday evenings (free for members). The first floor of the house is also open. May 9th is night #1.

The Street Food Cinema begins: Life becomes more seductive when the “Evil” screen takes place in Autry on May 10th. This was the first film of 2025 in the outdoor film series, and the incident of Starlight, who visited several memorable places throughout the spring, summer and fall. Cocktails are available for purchase and food trucks are nearby. Find out what to bring before you summon your beloved broom and make it for Griffith Park.
