The victim of a brutal crash crash on the westbound 40 highway near Burstow has been identified by the family as his father and his three children.
The crash happened west of Hector Road, unincorporated San Bernardino County, around 7:45am on May 4th, according to a release from the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP release was issued the day after the crash, so the driver was off the road “for reasons still under investigation” and as of Sunday, the crash investigation had not yet been completed, but the release states that the failure is not considered a contributing factor.

Media reports have identified the driver as Yamo’s 35-year-old Bryce Martinez, and the family who reached out to the KTLA confirmed the identities of the other three victims as his children: Cole, 17, Trent, 15, and a 10-year-old sailor.
All four were declared dead at the scene of the crash.
