First Fox: The US plans to welcome 49 white refugees who are victims of “government-sponsored racism” in their homeland, according to the State Department.
The US featured landed at Dulles Airport in Virginia on Monday afternoon, when Deputy Chief Christopher Landau welcomed a group of Africans.
“The first African refugees have arrived in the United States in the face of undeniable government-sponsored racism in South Africa,” a senior State Department official said in a monopoly statement in Fox News Digital.
“The US refugee enrollment program was aimed at this situation. Under President Trump’s strong leadership, the State Department helped provide new lives to these refugees in America.

President Donald Trump first began resettlement in an executive order entitled “Take on the terrible actions of the Republic of South Africa,” and directed the State Department to slam Africans into the frontlines of the line to resettle.
South Africans can now submit statements of interest to the US Embassy in Pretoria. This means reviewing the document and contacting anyone eligible for the interview process.
Trump has effectively halted refugee programs for people in large-scale war and hunger countries like Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. White South Africans say they were denied work and targeted violence for their race.
Trump’s executive order responded to laws passed by the South African government, allowing private land to be taken for public use sometimes without compensation. Trump argued that the law would be used to target white African groups in South Africa, descendants of Dutch and other European settlers who arrived more than 300 years ago.

South Africa’s Foreign Ministry said it claims that white South Africans face “well-founded fear of persecution.”
“It is most unfortunate that South Africans resettle in the United States under the guise of being “refugees” are entirely politically motivated and designed to question South Africa’s constitutional democracy.
The arrival of Africans comes as Trump tries to push back South Africa’s racial politics.

African families traveling to the US are primarily from the agricultural community.
Since apartheid ended in the 1990s, South Africa has sought to tone separatist policies, including the land redistribution laws signed in January. The policy was found to account for 7% of the population after an audit in 2017 found that white South Africans own individually owned farms and three-quarters of their agricultural property. Black people in South Africa were denied the right to own major farmland during the apartheid era.
