(Nexstar) – Morgan Warren’s sudden departure after his latest appearance on Saturday Night Live sparked much of the debate last month, but Warren himself has not commented on the March 29 incident until now.

Appearing in the “Sundae Conversations” web series with Caleb Presley, Wallen said that he wasn’t upset or angry with anyone involved in the show, but he just wanted to go home.

“No, no,” Warren said. “I was ready to go home. I was there all week.”

Warren, 31, appeared as a musical guest on the March 29 episode of Saturday Night Live, promoting his upcoming album, “I’m The Problem.” At the end of the show, Warren appeared on stage along with Oscar-winning “Anola” actor Mikey Madison, the host of that episode. But as soon as the credits began to roll, Warren hugged Madison and hugged the stage, then passed the camera.

Shortly afterwards, Warren posted an Instagram story overlay with a photo of the plane text and saying, “Gather me into the Kingdom of God.”

Some fans of the showI attackedAt Warren’s exit, they deemed rude. But others – primarily “SNL” critics – praised Warren for what they saw as an act of deliberate rebellion.

Even Kenan Thompson, a cast member of “SNL,” mentioned the incident, telling Entertainment Weekly that he was confused all over.

“When they decide to do something like that, they don’t know they’ll go through people’s minds. I don’t know if he understands the challenges or if he really felt the way in some way,” Thompson said.

Just hours after his “SNL” episode ended, Morgan posted an image of the plane on Instagram, covered in “Get Me To God’s Country.” (His official website later began selling products under slogans.)

However, a Wallen source told the next day that Wallen had no malicious intentions towards “SNL” or the crew, but another information told TMZ that Wallen had ended the stage in the same way during rehearsals and might have done the same thing unintentionally during the broadcast.

Rapper Tory Lanez reportedly stabbed him 14 times in a prison attack

In any case, Wallen doesn’t seem to be too troubled by the incident when Pressley raised it with “Sundae Conversations.” He also laughed at Presley’s joke about his previous legal troubles during an interview filmed at the bar.

“Hopefully, being here won’t violate your probation,” Warren said. “Screams to my PO.”
