The Los Angeles chase ended in a fiery collision Monday night, trapping the boy and at least one passenger in one of the hit vehicles.
According to the LA Fire Department, crews left around 8:21pm to rescue a total of three patients, two of whom were locked up. Only two patients trapped were identified as a 12-year-old boy and a 30-year-old woman.
One of the other vehicles involved in this destructive collision was a unit vehicle from the LA Police Station that caused the fire.
Around 9:20pm, LAPD officials told KTLA that the pursuit was short-lived before officers crashed into third-party vehicles on Crenshaw Boulevard and Vernon Avenue.
The suspect went on arrival, police said.
The LAPD cruiser caused a fire, but internal officers were able to safely evacuate, according to the fire department.

The crew extracted two patients from the other vehicle, and authorities said the 12-year-old patient was transported in unknown conditions and the 30-year-old child was transported in dangerous conditions.
In a later update, authorities said a total of five patients were hospitalized as a result of the crash. The age, status, or further identification information of the other three patients was not immediately known.
After the patient was taken to the hospital and inspected the wreckage, Sky5 was overhead.
Gil Leyvas of Ktla reported live and saw at least one other patient being taken to the ambulance. The video of this can be obtained below.
Details regarding tracking are limited, but unconfirmed reports show that the driver was being asked for the DUI.
Police did not immediately provide updates on the suspected pursuit, but said Leibus is believed to be loosened as of 9:30pm.
