An investigation is underway after the death of a man in law who allegedly caused interference inside a San Bernardino County pharmacy late last week.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department answered a “unnecessary person” call at Walgreens at 21650 State Highway 18 in Apple Valley, just after 4pm on Friday.
“A deputy arrived and contacted Cesar Villalpando, who was at the stall in the toilet. Villalpando appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was taken into custody without any problems,” the statement reads.
The sheriff said medical workers on the scene had cleaned up 32-year-old Villalpando for an appointment, but when he arrived at the High Desert detention centre around 5:10pm, he didn’t respond.
Deputies managed Narcan as prison medical staff tried to save lives, but according to release, Viralpando was declared dead after being taken to hospital.
Authorities are waiting for the Riverside County Coroner to determine how and why the death is.
Meanwhile, the investigation is envisaged by the sheriff’s specialist investigation department.
