Officers had to form a skirmish line to clear up the big mob that destroyed downtown Los Angeles metropolitan trains, police cars and several businesses Saturday night.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed with KTLA that the unit had been dispatched to the 1700 block of Trinity Avenue near Washington Boulevard to report a group trespassing in the area around 10pm.
“The group destroyed the subway trains on Washington Boulevard. They also destroyed some businesses in the area,” the spokesman said.

Video from the scene obtained by KTLA shows dozens of destroyers punch a slow moving metro train and spray paint it when it stops.
There were also a few people destroying the LAPD squad cars. I posed for a photo in front of it, fired fireworks, kicked them, and painted them as the officer began to run. Many people who were not actively involved in vandalism had recorded confusion on their mobile phones.
Businesses from several local areas also scribbled graffiti on Panda Express, Waba Grill, dialysis clinics, and medical buildings.

News Stringer Service Onscenetv footage shows people having fun firebler on the sidewalk. At least one person scaled the pole to get a better view of the chaos from above.
Officers, located in the area of the riot equipment, eventually declared illegal gatherings and formed a line of skirmishes. A LAPD spokesperson said the group had cleared the area by 1am on Sunday.
There was no information indicating that the arrest occurred at 12:45pm on Sunday.
