SpaceX Rocket test flight out of control – NBC Los Angeles

After a back-to-back explosion, SpaceX launched its Mega Rocket Starship again on Tuesday evening, but failed to reach its primary purpose when the spacecraft became out of control and fell apart.

The 403-foot (123-meter) rocket was blown up at the ninth demonstration at Starbase, SpaceX’s launch site, on the southern tip of Texas. Residents voted this month to organize as an official city.

CEO Elon Musk’s SpaceX wanted to release a series of mock satellites after the lift-off, but the door couldn’t open all the way, making it the Knicks. The spacecraft then began to spin as it skimmed the space towards an uncontrolled landing in the Indian Ocean.

SpaceX later confirmed that the spacecraft had experienced a “rapid unplanned demolition” or that it had fallen apart. “The team will continue to review the data and work towards the next flight test,” the company said in an online statement.

Musk said in X’s post that it was a “major improvement” from two previous demonstrations that ended with burning fragments on the Atlantic. Despite the latest set-off, he has promised to advance a faster launch pace as the spacecraft is surged every 3-4 weeks for the next three flights.

One of the Musk’s spacecraft (the first time it was flying with a recycle booster that was intended to travel to the moon and Mars. There was no plan to catch the booster with giant chopsticks on the launchpad. The contact with the booster was lost at some point, and as the spacecraft continued towards the Indian Ocean, it crashed into pieces into pieces into the Gulf of Mexico.

The spacecraft was then out of control due to a fuel leak.

“It doesn’t look good on many of today’s orbital goals,” said SpaceX flight commentator Dan Huot. The company was trying to test the heat shield on its spacecraft during a controlled re-entry.

Communication stopped before the spacecraft got off, and SpaceX ended the webcast shortly afterwards.

The previous two spacecraft should not have passed the Caribbean. The demonstration earlier this year ended just minutes after the lift-off, with the wreckage raining down the sea. The airline’s travel has been destroyed, but no injuries or serious damage has been reported. The Federal Aviation Administration last week cleared the spacecraft for another flight, expanding the hazard area and pushed the lift-off outside of peak air travel times.

SpaceX Starship Megarocke exploded on a test flight Thursday near Brownsville, Texas.

In addition to taking corrective action and upgrading, SpaceX has changed the thermal tiles of its latest spacecraft and installed special catch fittings. This was intended to sink into the Indian Ocean, but the company wanted to test the add-on to capture future versions on the pad, like the booster.

NASA needs SpaceX to make great progress over the next year with its spacecraft (the largest and most powerful rocket ever built) to bring astronauts back to the moon. Next year’s Moonshot, with four astronauts, will fly around the moon, but will not land. It happens early in 2027, and requires a spaceship to get two astronauts to the surface from the lunar orbit and turn off again.

The Associated Press School of Health Sciences is supported by the Howard Hughes Medical Institution’s Science and Education Media Group and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The AP is solely responsible for two previous failures in all content.hip. Tuesday’s flight was the first flight to use the super heavy booster that flew on a previous mission and returned to Earth.
