The suspect, who said an eyewitness hit a donut shop worker with a gun, was taken into custody early Wednesday morning in the Harvard Heights area in Los Angeles.
Police responded to a robbery call around 3:20am at the Winchell location in the 1600 block of Southwestern Avenue.
Bruce Bolihan, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, directed the suspect to the suspect who directed the suspect.
“When the officer contacted the suspect, a shooting occurred involving an officer,” Bolihan confirmed.

“The suspect’s weapons have been recovered,” Bolihan said.
