Orange County officials searched for additional victims after arresting a behavioral therapist who allegedly abused a juvenile with autism.
Home therapist Salvador Armando Ariaga has been charged with one count of felony of indecent and lewd conduct against a child under the age of 14, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
Investigators believe Allega abused his victim at his Garden Grove home during a treatment session, so the man is faced with the allegations that “he went to the child’s house with the intent to abuse him.”
“Ariaga is accused of holding treatment sessions in the boy’s bedroom while the boy’s father was staying in the living room to take care of another child, the DA’s office said.
Investigators added when the father came to the room to check on his son, but they didn’t see the child and therapist. Only when he opened the door to the nearest walk-in would he see his son down his pants.
“After facing the boy’s father, Ariaga has been accused of trying to escape through the bedroom window before running through the door,” the District Attorney’s Office said.
After the child’s father was called Garden Grove Police, the therapist reportedly changed his shirt and returned to the boy’s house while the officers were still there. There.
Arriaga was held on $1 million bail.
