Police are searching for the suspect who left a woman with gunshots in the head and chest around Boyle Heights Wednesday in Los Angeles, officials confirmed with KTLA.
Details are limited and detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death, but officials from the Los Angeles Police Department said officers responded to an area near the intersection of South Grande Vista Avenue and 8th Avenue around 3:15am in reports of the shooting.
On the scene, officers spotted the woman still inside her car. Police said the victim was not conscious or breathing.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and rushed the woman to a nearby hospital.

The victim’s condition was not available immediately, police said.
Footage from the scene shows the fierce presence of police in the neighborhood where the intersection is locked out with yellow crime scene tape.

From afar, it appeared that the airbag on the victim’s steering wheel had been deployed. Perhaps when her car stopped at or near the curb in the street.
So far, police have not released descriptions of the suspects, but Shooter said he escaped from the scene with a black Ford Mustang.
