A fifth suspect has been arrested after a man was killed outside a downtown Huntington Beach restaurant.
On Thursday, police announced that Magdaleno Barragan, 26, of Huntington Beach, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Rosar Helens, 29, of Anaheim.

Police found Helens suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
The attacker had fled the scene. Police began an investigation and later identified four Huntington Beach residents as suspects of Helens’ murder.

On May 14, Malaka was arrested for murder, concealed firearms, conspiracy (to commit murder), criminal street gang activity, and carrying concealed firearms in public places.

Three other men were also arrested for murder, conspiracy, crime district gang activity and murder accessories.
The fifth suspect, Barragan, remained in the whole. On May 28, officers placed him in Bakersfield. Barragan was taken to a prison in Huntington Beach where he was reserved for murder, conspiracy, criminal street gang activity and accessories.
Authorities have not announced details surrounding the murder, including motives, or whether Helen was previously known to the suspect. Police did not provide information regarding the type of injury the victim sustained.
Barragan, along with four other suspects, is being held on $1 million bail. Barragan’s arrest hearing is scheduled for May 30th.
The investigation is still underway and no additional details will be made public at this time.
