Los Angeles’ popular outdoor film series Street Food Cinema will host a special July weekend celebration that promises to be a good time for families and dog owners.
On Saturday, July 5th, at the Autry Museum in Griffith Park, Street Food Cinema screened the cult classic “The Princess Bride,” followed by a visual display that was projected mapped instead of traditional fireworks.
The choice to abandon fireworks makes the event pet-friendly and dogs welcome leashes all night, organizers said.
In addition to screening, guests can enjoy a full bar offering live music, food trucks, popcorn and themed cocktails. Participants will also be able to participate in movie trivia on smart devices with prizes including tickets for the Hollywood Bowl.
Dressed up characters from the cult classic The Princess Bride, the two will pose for a photo shoot at a street food cinema screening. Film fans enjoy screening outdoor films as part of Street Food Cinema’s annual summer series.
General admission is $22 for adults and $10 for children aged 6-12. Reserved section tickets cost $27 for adults and $15 for children, and children under the age of 5 are free to enter.
Street Food Cinemas officially launched its Summer 2025 film series earlier this month, packing it with a “evil” show in Autry. Other films scheduled to be screened this summer include a mix of recent releases, cult classics and milestone anniversaries.
In June, we will be holding a Pridemon celebration at the 30th anniversary presentation of “A Goofy Movie” in collaboration with the 30th annual screening of Wesley Snipes and Patrick Sways vehicles, “Thanks to Julie Newmar to Wong Foo,” and collaboration with Disney’s D23 fan club.
The organization is also partnering with Searchlight Pictures to screen Academy Award-winning films, “A Complete Unknown” and “A Real Pain.”
