The restoration of the iconic mural depicting Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter was destroyed a month ago in downtown Los Angeles
The beloved mural was created by the movement of artist Louis “Sloe” shortly after the death of Lakers legend and daughter Gigi in 2020.
On April 29th, the mural on Main Street near West 14th Avenue was seen covered in graffiti, urging GoFundMe to raise funds to give the original artist a full restoration.
The fundraiser quickly surpassed its $5,000 target when the entire amount was donated by current Lakers star Luka Doncic.
