The carjack suspect was arrested on suspicion of child danger and arrest on Tuesday when he allegedly hit another vehicle in a short pursuit with two children.
On Tuesday morning, Culver City police attempted to stop Aaron Frenoy, an Inglewood man with a standout warrant on a $5.7 million bail amount for a felony carjacking and a former Ferron weapons claim from 2023.
There were four people in the car while the train was stopped. Flenoy, Timberline Davenport, 33, who had multiple unpaid arrest warrants, said two children, ages 5 and 9.
Frenoy was initially stopped, but after running a red light at Centinera and La Blair Avenue in Inglewood, he fled and attacked another vehicle, police spokesman Jennifer Attenza said.
“There was a short pursuit. It’s probably less than two minutes, a very short distance,” Attenza said. “All passengers transported in that vehicle were transported to the hospital for evaluation.”
The two children were immediately taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Attenza said. According to the release, the driver of the attacked vehicle was not injured, but Flenoy and Davenport suffered minor injuries.
Flenoy and Davenport could also face charges of unpaid warrants and child risk, the release said.
