Mountain High Resorts will open its new Downhill Mountain Bike Park on June 14th, marking the massive expansion of its popular Southern California ski destination for summer recreation.
The new bike park at Mountain High West Resort in Lightwood features three professionally designed trails for riders of all skill levels.
Resort officials say a total of eight trails are planned for the first phase of the park, with around eight miles of terrain being completed. They said one of the three trails available now is rated easier, the other more difficult, and the one the most difficult.

In addition to The Trails, Mountain High is debuting a skill park where riders can practice wooden features such as small jumps, drops and bank crannies before riding the main run. The resort rides bikes Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 4pm until October 12th.
Future expansion is already underway in the second phase, planned for the summer of 2026, with five trails and almost six more miles of advanced terrain added. The third phase is scheduled for spring 2027 and includes an additional 5-mile professional-level run.
Lift tickets start at $42 for adults and $29 for children aged 5-12. Season pass is also available. This comes with lift tickets, rentals, food discounts and free access to the resort’s disc golf course.
