The Campbell Hall School community lamentes the loss of a 15-year-old student who was hit and killed on campus. The incident occurred in a parking lot on the back of the school during student pick-up on Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities said the ninth grade student was walking between the cars when he was hit by a Libian SUV. Officials believe the driver may have accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brakes.
The accident occurred during a particularly busy time in the parking lot, with many vehicles and students on foot.

Speaking to KTLA’s Kareen Wynter, parents who wanted to remain anonymous pointed out that there is usually no staff member responsible for directing traffic on Wednesday.
The sadistic counselor was made available to students and staff on Thursday, but some families were too distraught to attend a session held in the school gym.
In a message to their parents, Campbell Hall officials expressed their sadness and said their “hearts and thoughts” lie in the victim’s family.
The tragedy occurred at the end of the school year, with some students preparing for the final exam. However, many did not win the finals.
Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the driver, who was a young woman picking up her young sibling, according to one parent. Authorities have shown that the incident appears to be an unusual accident, and drivers may not face charges.
