The man accused of killing a woman in unincorporated Ventura County last weekend was charged with the murder and another murder two years ago, prosecutors said.
The 25-year-old Christian Alexandre hills faced two murders on May 31, due to the death of Carolyn Nino de Rivera, and the other for the 2023 death of Ventura resident William Thompson, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.
That night, Rivera was found dead at a residence in the 12,000 block of Sisar Road in the unorganized area between Santa Paula and Ojai known as Upper Ojai.
The hill is said to have fled to Mexico shortly after Rivera’s death, but he was discovered less than a week later and returned to Ventura County.
During the investigation into Rivera’s murder, detectives obtained information linking the hills to the second murder that entailed the death of William Thompson, who was hit with a weapon in Ventura on November 3, 2023,” the prosecutor said.
“The defendant’s alleged behavior reflects a frightening pattern of violence and atrocities,” District Attorney Eric Nasalenko said in a news release. “Our office is committed to ensuring justice for these victims and to prosecute the hills in the best possible way.”
The hillside, detained without bail, faces two murder charges and special allegations of multiple murders, fatal weapon use, past felony strikes, previous felony or violent felony, and pre-existing felony.
He is scheduled to make his first appearance at Ventura County Superior Court Friday afternoon.
