Three suspects, including two teenagers, have been arrested in connection with a stinging attack in a Fillmore neighborhood.
The suspects, all Fillmore residents, were identified as follows:
Brayan Alvarez, 18, Julio Hernandez, 18, Manuel Rodriguez, 44
On April 15, deputies at Fillmore Station responded to reports of several people fighting in the 400 block of Mountain View Street at 2:22pm
Deputies arrive at the scene and find a man suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to a local hospital for medical care.
Shortly afterwards, the second stab victim arrived at Fillmore Station seeking emergency medical assistance. He was also taken to hospital for treatment. The attacker had fled the scene.
The detective continued to investigate the case, seeking information and tips from the public, along with the help of other units within the sheriff’s office.
The suspect was identified and authorities found Alvarez on May 29th. He was arrested for attempted murder and allegations that the crime was committed in the interests of the gang. He was later charged with assaulting a deadly weapon by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office. Alvarez remains in custody.
On June 5th, detectives spotted Hernandez in the 500 block of Mountain View Street in Fillmore and arrested him for attempted murder.
Shortly after his arrest, detectives placed Rodriguez nearby and arrested him with accessories after facts related to his involvement in stabbing him.
No further details were released including the motive behind the stab wound and how the victim was known to the suspect.
