President Donald Trump and his administration are expected to hit a whirlwind in the White House in 21st week, including holding high-stakes trade talks with China in London on Monday and continuing efforts to quell wild riots in California targeting federal immigrant officials.

China’s trade consultation
On True Social on Friday, Trump announced that Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and US Trade Ambassador Jamieson Greer will head to London on Monday to continue trade talks with China after the two countries have set up taxes on each other.

“Treasury Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and U.S. Trade Representative, Ambassador Jamieson Greer, announced on Monday, June 9, 2025 that he will meet with the Chinese representatives in London by referring to the trade agreement, posted by Trump.
The planned meeting came after President Trump spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday to discuss trade negotiations between Washington and Beijing.

“I concluded a very good call with Chinese President XI, discussing some of the complexities that have been created recently and agreeing to a trade deal,” Trump said Thursday in the Truth Social Post. “The call lasted about an hour and a half, bringing a very positive conclusion for both countries.”

Trump said the conversation was “nearly entirely” focused on trade, and XI invited the US president and first lady Melania Trump to visit China. Similarly, Trump visited the US by inviting Xi and his wife, Penn Liyuan, to and from the rounds.
The Trump administration levelled tariffs on Chinese goods to 145% following the president’s mutual tariff plan in April, when China retaliated against the US with its own tariffs. China and the US reached a reserve trade agreement last month. Trump said China violated the truth social post at the end of May.

Travel bans are enabled
Trump banned 12 foreigners from traveling to the United States on Wednesday, imposing travel restrictions on seven other countries that have imposed travel restrictions on seven other countries, according to the White House.
The travel ban will take effect Monday.
The ban bans travelers from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

The other seven countries face partial travel restrictions, including Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.
“The recent terrorist attacks in Boulder, Colorado highlighted the extreme dangers posed to our country by the entry of foreigners that have not been properly vetted and by the entry of foreigners who come here as temporary visitors and overstay visas,” Trump said in a video posted on social media on Wednesday. “We don’t want them.”
“In the 21st century, we have seen terrorist attacks one after another, with foreign visa oversteering from dangerous places around the world,” he added. “Thanks to Biden’s open door policy, there are millions or millions of these offences that shouldn’t be in our country today.”

All eyes on California riots
A riot broke out in Los Angeles over the weekend, with federal immigration officials gathering in left-wing cities to launch immigrant raids as part of Trump’s campaign promise to deport millions of illegal immigrants who have flooded the country under the Biden administration.
Violent protesters were taken down the streets, where they were seen throwing rocks and other materials at federal law enforcement officials, placing cars on fire in protest of the attack and looting local shops.

Trump sent 2,000 National Guard soldiers to LA early Sunday, likely to include fireworks from California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who repeatedly defended illegal immigrants amid the attacks to help restore order when immigrant protests turned into riots.
“After two days of violence, conflict and anxiety, a great job by the National Guard in Los Angeles,” Trump posted to social social early Sunday morning. “We have as usual (see how they handled the fires, look at the permitting disasters that are now very slow. The federal permits are complete!), we have an incompetent governor (news street) and mayor (base). Please hide and once again, thank you to the National Guard for doing the work!”

Newsom on Friday said the Trump administration’s immigrant raid in Los Angeles was “chaotic and reckless.”
“A chaotic federal sweep across California to meet any arrest quota is as reckless as it is cruel. Donald Trump’s confusion is eroding trust, tearing families apart, and damaging workers and industries that make use of the American economy,” a Newsmom statement read.
The press doubled in a response x-post to White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt on Saturday in support of protecting illegal immigrants from deportation.
“Recently, violent mobs have attacked ice officers and federal law enforcement agencies running basic deportation operations in Los Angeles, California,” Leavitt posted on X. “These operations are essential to defeating and turning illegal criminal invasions into the United States.

Newsom’s Office said, “These are not fundamental. Your indiscriminate sweep holds the entire community horrifying, hardworking, tax-paying Californians. It’s a cruel escalation and has to end.”
When asked about the riots and California Republicans, Newsmom’s office compared the riots with sports celebrations, when they were held accountable for violence against Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass to support illegal immigration amid the assault.

“La riots? Have these geniuses ever seen what happens when the Eagles win a playoff game?” Newsom’s Communications Director Izzy Gardon told Fox News Digital, mentioning how Philadelphia Eagles fans are having a famous party after winning a big game.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk closed his tenure as a leader in government efficiency later last month, and then publicly attacked the drastic laws Trump has promoted, funding his second administration agenda and sparking a fiery battle between former allies expected to be carried this week.
“Sorry, I can’t stand it anymore,” Musk posted on X on Tuesday. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional expenditure bill is a nasty hatred. I’m embarrassed by those who voted for it. I know you were wrong. You know that.”

Congressional fiscal conservatives opposed one big beautiful bill, which would increase the U.S. national debt by trillions, including Senate Republicans who have threatened to withhold support for legislation after its passage in the House last month. Trump defends the law as a bill that cuts taxes for Americans throughout tax brackets, while also allowing for strengthening border security and thriving US independent energy resources.
Musk continued to condemn the law throughout the week, including urging lawmakers to “kill the bill.”

On Thursday, Trump spoke directly to Musk’s comments, saying at an oval office meeting with the German Prime Minister that he was “disappointed” by Musk’s attack on the law, and he wasn’t sure how their friendship would work through criticism. Trump added that disapproval of the mask bill was allegedly reduced to the mandatory electric vehicle. Musk is the CEO of Tesla, an electric car company.
“I’m very disappointed because Elon knew the internal mechanisms of this bill were better than most people sitting here than most people. He knew everything about it. He had no problem with it,” Trump said Thursday. “All of a sudden he was having a problem, and he only developed the problem when he learned that we had to cut down on EV mandates.”
“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we’ll do that anymore,” Trump added.
The pair later launched an attack on each other on social media.
“Elon asked him to leave, saying, ‘I’m wearing it lightly.’ I took his EV mandate and made everyone buy an electric car that no one else wanted (he knew for months I was trying to do it!), and he just went crazy! ” Trump posted on X on Thursday.

“This obvious lie. It’s so sad,” Musk replied with an X.
Later on Thursday, Musk wrote to X, “@Realdonaldtrump is in the Epstein Files.”
Trump on Saturday assumes he is suppose that his relationship with Musk has ended, but he warned that he will “pay the results” if Musk launches a campaign initiative in support of Democrats ahead of middle school next year.

“I’m too busy doing other things,” Trump told NBC News on Saturday when asked about his relationship with Musk. “You know, I won the election on a landslide. I gave him a lot of breaks long before this happened. I gave him a break in his first administration and saved his life in my first administration. I’m not going to tell him.”
