The world’s best athletes are preparing for a trip to Italy this winter, allowing fans to watch every second of action from home.

NBC and Peacock are home to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina, showing off game competition, pageants and emotions.

With 116 medal events in 16 sports, NBCuniversal coverage will air every moment of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

From the mountains to the links, there is a guide to watching the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.

How to watch the 2026 Olympics on NBC and Peacock

NBC and Peacock will be NBCuniversal’s main platform for coverage of the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.

With Milan and Cortina in the same time zone as Paris, NBCuniversal’s programming plans for the 2026 Winter Olympics are similar to those for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

NBC will air live the best events live with at least five hours of daytime coverage each day throughout the game. Between figure skating, freestyle skiing, snowboarding, speed skating, and more, daytime coverage introduces NBC’s most popular events on weekends and daily afternoons.

NBC will also air “Prime Time in Milan,” an enhanced three-hour Olympic Primetime show hosted by Mike Tirico.

Meanwhile, Peacock will live stream the entire Olympics, making it the most comprehensive Winter Olympics destination in American media history. Viewers can also enjoy the daily whip-around show that gained popularity at the 2024 Parisio Games, as well as the “Gold Zone,” a multi-view feature of Peacock.

Peacock promises more programs and innovation for the Milan Cortina Olympics, allowing you to get closer to the start of a more detailed game.

In addition to NBC and Peacock, NBCuniversal’s comprehensive cable coverage of the Milan Cortina Olympics will take place on the USA Network and CNBC.

How to watch the opening ceremony of the 2026 Olympics

Speaking of the start of the game, the opening ceremony of the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics will be held on Friday, February 6th, 2026.

The opening ceremony will air live on NBC, Peacock and Telemundo. This includes a parade as athletes march to San Siro Stadium in Milan.

How to watch skiing at the 2026 Olympics

Alpine skiing will be on February 7th-18th, and freestyle skiing will be on February 7th-21st.

Things to see: Michaela Shiffrin is looking for Olympic redemption after not building a podium in Beijing. Shiffrin can also take part in another American ski icon as 40-year-old Lindsey Vonn is trying to revive the Olympics.

The Winter Olympics were last held in Beijing, China in 2022. Italy’s Milan Cortina d’Ampezzo is the host of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

How to watch snowboarding at the 2026 Olympics

Snowboarding will be held from February 5th to 18th.

How to watch ice hockey at the 2026 Olympics

The ice hockey game will take place from February 5th, the day before the opening ceremony until the final day of the Olympics on February 22nd.

NBCuniversal’s report on the 2026 Milan Cortina Paralympics will air from March 6th to 15th. Details will be announced at a later date.
