Monday marked the fourth day of the public pushback against federal immigration attacks in the Los Angeles area, protesting over the weekend, sparking outrage from Mayor Karen Bass and the government of Gav. Gavin Newsom as the National Guard was called by President Donald Trump.
ICE agents carried out the first raids in downtown and Westlake areas of LA on Friday, urging large crowds to fail to prevent people from being detained. The next day, the attack on Paramount painted protesters there before the demonstrations headed for the DTLA.

Protesters were also seen administering businesses that burn and loot cars. More than 40 people were arrested and nearly 12 law enforcement officials were injured as a result of Sunday’s protests.

Just before 11:45am, Mayor La Karen Bass peacefully protested the protesters and advised them to follow “a proud history of peaceful protests against immigrant rights.”
“We must continue that legacy – don’t fall into the Trump administration trap,” Bus said in X. “We protest peacefully. Looting and vandalism will not be tolerated.”
