Both US immigration and customs enforcement and US customs border security agents were seen outside Home Depot in Huntington Park on Monday morning.

Authorities received reports that Ice Agent had arrived at Home Depot on Sloughson Avenue around 7:30am, according to Sergio Infanson, director of communications and community relations for the city of Huntington Park.

Downtown LA Business was looted overnight. Anti-ice protests are expected to continue on Monday

A video posted to the Citizen app shows a convoy of US customs and border patrol vehicles in the parking lot and Slauson, as well as unmarked vehicles. Agents jumped out of the truck, entered one of the unmarked SUVs and stopped in traffic.

Agents with both the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) were seen outside Home Depot in Huntington Park on Monday, June 9, 2025. It is unclear if anyone was immediately taken into custody. According to Infanzon, no officials from the Huntington Park Police Station were involved and no protests were reported first.

Infanzon also pointed out that city officials had obtained the words of ice agents in the neighbouring city of Maywood.

No reports of ice at Huntington Park High School were confirmed.

On Monday afternoon, Infanzon told KTLA that ice agents had left the area and that no arrests were made as long as city officials were aware. They were unable to confirm any reports circulating on social media that one person had been arrested.

“The city of Huntington Park is on alert and our police department is not engaged in activities to deal with immigrant arrests,” he said.

Ice Agents have been raiding in the Los Angeles area since Friday, when businesses in downtown and Westlake areas were attacked and workers were taken into custody.

On Saturday, a Paramount attack attracted a crowd of protesters in nearby Compton and downtown. President Donald Trump ordered the National Guard to be deployed later that night, which angered both La Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsmom.

Sunday’s demonstration escalated to DTLA’s chaos, with protesters throwing projectiles at law enforcement, doing dangerous stunts and looting business. More than 40 people have been arrested on various charges, and at least 11 law enforcement officials were injured in Sunday’s violence.
