The Justice Department advised nearly 100 U.S. law firms on Thursday to prepare for a criminal investigation in connection with a planned national protest against Trump administration policies on Saturday.

Thousands of “king” protests are scheduled to take place across the country on Saturday, with participants expected to oppose Trump administration’s policies.

“As we have repeatedly said, the department respects the right to peacefully protest and gather to engage in important issues,” a DOJ spokesperson wrote in a statement from Fox News Digital. “However, the division and its 94 US law firms do not tolerate illegal violence and destruction of property.”

Protesters hope to converge on DC ahead of Trump’s military parade.

Washington, DC will host a massive military parade on Saturday for the Army’s 250th anniversary. This coincides with flag day.

However, the Kings website does not claim that the military parade pays homage to President Donald Trump, explaining that the event is “made with a TV show of control for him.” [79th] birthday. “

The parade and protests follow multi-day violent riots in Los Angeles and New York City.

The mob will raise the Mexican flag as burning cars line the streets in Los Angeles, California on June 8, 2025.

Fresh waves of anti-ice protest threaten uncertainty, volatility before Trump’s massive military parade

“There’s no King, it’s a national day of rebellion,” the organizers wrote on their website. “From urban blocks to small towns, court stairs to community parks, we take action to reject authoritarianism, showing what democracy really looks like in the world… The flag doesn’t belong to President Trump. It’s ours. History is not happening.

Trump warns that potential protesters at his military parade will “meet with a very large force.”

US lawyers have reportedly been warned that if the protests become violent, they will need to file a federal complaint.

“We’re ready to respond accordingly,” the spokesman said.
