The Department of Homeland Security revealed the identities of four migrants who fled the Newark ice facility on Thursday night, identifying all four as still a massive “public safety threat.”

The agency is offering a $10,000 reward for information that led to the arrest of four immigrants who broke out from Delaney Hall, an ice detention facility on Thursday night, amid a chaotic scene both inside and outside the facility.

According to DHS, “The four illegal criminal aliens currently circumventing federal law enforcement are a threat to public safety.”

The DHS has identified four fleeing migrants as illegal in Hongjuran.

Bautista-Reyes illegally entered the United States under the Biden administration in 2021, arrested in Waynetownship, New Jersey on May 3, and was arrested by a police station for aggravated assault, attempting to cause physical injuries, terrorist threats and possession of weapons for illegal purposes.

Sandoval-Lopez illegally entered the United States in 2019 as a minor, and was arrested in October for illegal possession of a handgun by the Cassaic Police Station and again on February 15th for aggravated assault.

Castaneda Rozada illegally entered the United States in 2022 and was arrested by the Hamonton Police Station on May 15th for robbery, theft and conspiracy.

Pineda Mogoron enrolled in the United States in 2023 and spent overstaying tourist visas. He was arrested by the New York City Police Station for theft on April 25th and again on May 21st for conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of robbery tools at a New Jersey Union, the Housing Robbery Police Station.

Immigration attorney Mustafa Setin told NJ.com that about 50 detainees in the private facility pushed down the walls of their dorms after being upset when their meals were delayed.

“It’s about food, and some detainees have become aggressive and violent,” Setin said.

He added that his client reported the wall was “not very strong” and that detainees were hanging from what could have been an attempt to escape. The client also said he smelled gas during the incident.

By 6pm, officers from the Essex County Sheriff’s Office and Newark Police were in attendance, according to Rutgers University and Newark Police. Professor Whitney Strabb posted images of the police presence and said he and others outside the prison were exposed to “some sort of gasoline” after being exposed to what they believed was “coughing at the same time.”

The DHS reported widespread anxiety at the facility, saying, “This privately owned facility is dedicated to providing 24-hour, high-quality services to practice medical, in-person and virtual and family visits, access to general and legal libraries, translation services, nutritionist-approved diets, religious and special diets, and religious nutrition practices.

In a statement Friday, a senior DHS official said “DHS has noticed four detainees at the private Delaney Hall detention facility where they are escaped,” and “additional law enforcement partners have been brought to find these escapes and the rags have become popular.”

The senior officials encouraged the public to call emergency services or ice chip lines using relevant information on the four escapes.
