“No Kings” protests are taking place across Southern California and the U.S. on Saturday in response to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids across the Southland and the Trump administration’s policies.
The protests are part of a massive nationwide movement that coincides with a military parade in Washington D.C., marking the Army’s 250th anniversary, which also falls on President Donald Trump’s birthday.

On the homepage of the “No Kings” website, the group states: “They’ve defied our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights and slashed our services. The corruption has gone too far. No thrones. No crowns. No kings.”
In SoCal, dozens of protests are planned across Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
Saturday’s demonstrations follow a more than week-long series of events in the downtown Los Angeles area as protestors have condemned aggressive federal operations targeting undocumented immigrants.
Participants can be seen waving signs, calling for the protection of democracy while chanting their frustration over Trump’s policies and executive order to deploy 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines to L.A.
Local leaders, including Gov. Gavin Newsom and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, have demanded that Trump stop the immigration raids that have sparked the ongoing protests.
Newsom has since filed a lawsuit against Trump, calling the move an “unprecedented power grab.”
The Trump administration said it would continue the raids and deportations despite the growing demonstrations. “ICE will continue to enforce the law,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem posted on X.
