The Los Angeles Police Department says more than 500 people have been arrested in connection with the protest over eight days.

In a media release issued Sunday, LAPD confirmed that a total of 561 arrests have been made in connection with the protests across Los Angeles since June 8th.

LAPD said dozens of LAPD officials were injured on Saturday due to protests since June 8, including three. Police say 38 people were arrested on Saturday night. This includes violations of curfews, one to fail to disband, one to resist police resistance, obstruction, delays and arrests.

“In crowd control situations, a large number of non-fatal ammunition was used,” said a media release from LAPD. The department could not comment that one man’s testmaru was “smashed” after being shot by a rubber bullet from close range.

Saturday’s protest was part of the “king” movement that encouraged demonstrations across Southern California and across the United States. They have remained far more peaceful and sometimes violent and destructive over the past week than protests against federal immigrant raids in the LA area.

Los Angeles police released their arrest numbers by the date that begins June 7th.

June 7: Arrested for 29 people failed to disband June 8: 21 people arrested. The charges range from attempted murder by Molotov cocktails, fatal weapon attacks on police officers, and failed plunder and disbandment on June 9th. To discharge lasers on the LAPD airship. June 11: June 11: 71 arrests were arrested for 71 failed disbandings, and two arrests were made for police officers for deadly weapon attacks (the curfew enacted by LA Mayor Karenbus has come into effect). Laser on the LAPD airship. One person detained for violating curfew was arrested in the June 13th: 18 fatal weapons attack June 14th: 14th: 14th.

The next update on arrests related to the protests is expected on Monday morning.

Although LAPD said a total of 561 arrests were made, data provided by the authorities show that 574 arrests have been made, which amounts to around 70-71 arrests per day.

KTLA has contacted the department for details of the discrepancy.
