Resources are now available for businesses in downtown Los Angeles this weekend. This was affected by recent events due to immigration operations, Mayor Karen Bass announced.
The mayor-designed resources include virtual webinars to help business owners learn more about the support available.
Resources include assistance programs for graffiti removal and employment support.
About 20 businesses have been destroyed and looted in downtown Los Angeles, according to the mayor.
“Of the thousands and thousands of businesses in downtown LA, I think that all this time, about 25 have been destroyed or looted. Now it’s unacceptable that it happened. I say it’s absolutely unacceptable.”
Details of whether the costs of cleaning up for the company were not available immediately since the mayor said the assessment was ongoing.
Mayor Bass says he encourages people to express the first revision, but says that violence and destruction are unacceptable.
“My message to Angelinos is that we must stand together. My message as mayor is here to respect and respect our traditions. I think this is our city of immigration and frankly our strength,” Bass said. “We stand with you, we will do everything we can to bring life back to normal.
Parts of downtown LA remain under the mayor’s curfew.
The next webinar is scheduled for Monday, June 16th. For more information, please visit the mayor’s website.
