Los Angeles Dodgers star Kaique Hernandez may not be from Southern California, but he has shown his support for Los Angeles in the face of civil unrest and protests that have also affected the public.
Hernández said exactly in an Instagram post published Saturday night.
“I may not have been born and raised, but the city adopted me as one of their own,” reads the Post. “I am saddened and angry about what is going on in our country and in our city.”

He signed the post with the hashtag #cityofimmigrants.
Puerto Rican native Hernandez played for the Dodgers from 2015 to 2020 before signing with the Boston Red Sox for two years. He responded to the Young Boys in July 2023 in exchange for Nick Robertson and Justin Hagenman.
