Margiley Grande, famous as “Nonna,” Ariana Grande’s maternal grandmother, has passed away.
Joan Grande, the mother of the “Evil” actress, announced on Instagram story Tuesday afternoon. Ariana then shared the post in her story.

“We are destroying the sharing of the death of our beloved patriarch of our family,” the statement said.

She went on to explain that Marjorie had “died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones, and every moment in the last few weeks.”
“We thank you for your love, support and respect for our privacy when we sadly and celebrate her beautiful, extraordinary life,” the memo concluded.

Fans of the “Seven Rings” singer know how close she and her Nonna are. She often praised their relationship, accompanied her on the red carpet of many awards, documenting other fascinating moments on social media.
In 2018, Marjorie got her first tattoo with her granddaughter at the age of 93. She tattooed “Siccio” on her left ring finger in tribute to her late period and Ariana’s grandfather.
Elder Grande was featured in the song “The Ordinary” from her 2024 album “Eternal Sunshine.” The move made the then 98-year-old the oldest artist to chart Billboard’s Hot 100.
So far, the Oscar-nominated actress has not made a formal statement about her death.
