Vice President JD Vance was briefly stopped on Wednesday evening by Liberal X competitors within the first hour of the country’s second leadership to join the platform. After that, the account was revived.
“We welcome the Vice President for conversations at Bluesky,” the company told Fox News Digital in an email response, saying, “We are becoming a prominent vice president for Vice President JD Vance on Bluesky, and the JD-Vance-1.BSKY.Social account has been temporarily suspended, flagged as part of that pattern by an automated system.
“The account recovered quickly within 20 minutes of suspension, and we also added a validated badge to allow users to check the authenticity of their profile,” the statement added.
Bluesky, a social media platform with a layout similar to X, has become a haven for many liberals who escaped from X after Elon Musk purchased the platform and began making changes. Despite its reputation as a liberal hub, Vance set up a profile on Bluesky Wednesday and made its first post at 4:50pm
In the Vice President’s first post, he said: “Hello, Bruski, I was told that this app has become a place to go for common sense political discussion and analysis.

In the post, he embedded a screenshot of the consent opinion of Associate Supreme Court Judge Clarence Thomas published today in US vs. Skrmetti.
Thomas’ consent lists some issues he found in Tennessee’s challenging law. This includes “there is no medical consensus on the best ways to treat gender discomfort in children,” and “the main voice in this field relies on suspicious evidence, and ideology has been able to influence medical guidance.”
Vance said: “To that end, we found that Justice Thomas’ consent on healthcare for transgender youth is quite illuminated. Many of the so-called “experts” argue that they use bad arguments and substandard science to promote experimental therapy in our youth.
In response, Bluesky immediately suspended Vance’s account. However, it soon revived after a short period of time.

“BlueSky banned VP JD Vance 20 minutes after joining the platform. Bluesky’s Libs is very triggered,” commented Libs, a popular conservative account on Tiktok.
“They’ve already banned him,” rumbled with political commentator Eric Dorgerty.

The suspension even won criticism from Vance’s critics. Liberal reporter Billy Bignon commented, “I can’t stand JD Vance, but suspending the sitting Vice President is why Bruski is not worried and destined to fail.”

“If you claim to care about a real argument, you can’t drive yourself away from everyone outside the progressive bubble —[icially] Someone who might become president one day,” wrote Bignon.
