After crowds gathered late Thursday morning and denied entry into the venue’s parking lot, several federal agents gathered on the road outside Dodger Stadium, which was located near the gate at the stadium’s entrance.
Federal agents in protective vests and masks were seen on the side of the road leading to Gate E. It was not immediately clear whether their presence was linked to federal law enforcement activities in Hollywood and elsewhere early Thursday.
“This morning, Ice Agent came to Dodger Stadium and asked for permission to access the parking lot,” the team said in a post from X.
The Dodgers will be holding the Padres Thursday night.
Agents who appeared in multiple vehicles left in SUVs during the day.
Los Angeles Councilman Eunisses Hernandez, who was among the crowds outside Dodger Stadium, said it appears federal agents are using the location as a staging area. In protest, about 20 people appeared at the gate late Thursday morning.
