Federal immigration enforcement work unfolded early Wednesday morning outside Home Depot in Hollywood. There, more than a dozen people were reportedly detained by agents believed to be immigrants and customs enforcement.
The incident took place at Home Depot on Sunset Boulevard. The video on the phone shows a strong police presence, with witnesses capturing scenes of people in custody of officials who were later described as “a routine federal immigration law enforcement project.”
Witnesses told KTLA that the unmarked SUV arrived around 7:45am and agents quickly moved to people gathered outside the store. One man said he saw the ice agent tackle the person on the ground without warning and shoved his face into the dirt before custodying him.

At least one of the people detained was a pregnant woman. He said his wife, a local street vendor, works outside Home Depot every day and was swept away by the raid.
Neighbors also told KTLA that others in which others were detained are longtime community members with no criminal history.
“It’s heartbreaking,” one resident said. “They are taking people to help build California. They’re not criminals, they’re good people.”
Federal officials have not commented on certain ongoing activities, but issued a general statement in response, stating that immigration enforcement measures are regularly taken and are part of a broader effort to maintain U.S. immigration law.
They also warned that obstructing federal agents during such operations could lead to felony charges, regardless of the person’s citizenship status.
This morning’s action in Hollywood follows a similar operation at another home depot location in Sylmer.
