ICE has discovered a massive identity theft scheme led by illegal immigrants, and is linked to an organized criminal network, possibly following workplace raids at Omaha’s meat packing factory.
According to an ICE statement, it has been discovered that about 70 illegal aliens working in the factory use their stolen Social Security numbers and identities to illegally obtain employment permits, wages and benefits at the expense of more than 100 victims. The statement said the victim faced “devastating financial, emotional and legal consequences” as a result of identity theft.
Working with other federal and state partners, ICE agents carried out a major workplace raid at Glen Valley Foods in Omaha on June 10th. The attack has arrested more than 70 illegal immigrants, sparking protests both in the community and across the country.
While the arrests have sparked outrage from the local community and some people across the country, Ice said, as some suggests, theft of illegal identity information proves that they are not innocent and hardworking members of society.

Another ice official told Fox News Digital that the illegal aliens arrested at Glen Valley Foods were behind the crime, and some “used an organized criminal network” to carry out the crime.
Representatives said the investigation is still ongoing and the exact number of affected individuals is still unknown.
An ICE spokesman pointed to several examples of people who were victimized by the identity theft scheme of an offence who was arrested.
A spokesperson said that illegal foreigners misused their identity at Glen Valley Foods and were unable to work to earn wages, and Texas disabled people struggled to get paid for their Social Security Disability.

“The criminals who stole these identities, not violated their lives, not violated the law,” said Mark Jeet, a special agent in the homeland security investigation covering Omaha, in a statement emailed to Fox News Digital.

“There was an individual who recently appeared on the record, referring to an identity burglar who we arrested last week as ‘good, hardworking, honest’,” he said. “These so-called honest workers have caused an immeasurable amount of financial and emotional difficulties for innocent Americans. If you’re pretending to be someone you’re not, you’re not blatant and criminal dishonesty, what you don’t know.”
