President Donald Trump told reporters on Friday that his national intelligence chief Tarsi Gabbard was “wrong” in her assessment that Iran was not approaching construction of nuclear weapons.
Trump’s comments came when he left the Air Force on his way to Bed Manister in New Jersey, when he came aside to ask a few questions from reporters.
“She’s wrong,” Trump said after being asked about Gabbard’s assessment that Iran was not approaching construction of nuclear weapons. “My intelligence community is wrong.”

Following Trump’s comments, Gabbard denounced the media for taking the media to “deliberately” to the Senate Intelligence Email Committee “from context” to the Senate Intelligence Email Committee.
“The fraudulent media intentionally disseminates my testimony from context and spreads it as a way to produce fake news,” Gabbard said in a post on X, accompanied by a video clip of his March testimony to Congress.

Trump’s comments were preceded by questions from a reporter asking the president who publicly opposed the Iraq War about 20 years ago. It made this situation different with Iran.
“There were no weapons of mass destruction. I didn’t think there would be. It was a bit before nuclear. You knew. There was a nuclear age, but there was none of the kind that we do today,” Trump said. “And I looked right about the material they’ve already gathered. [in Iran]. It’s a huge amount of material. And I’ll be within weeks, or certainly within months, [Iran was] You will be able to have nuclear weapons. You can’t make it happen. ”
In March, DNI Gabbard said in an opening statement to the Senate Intelligence Election Committee that the Intelligence Election Community “continues to assess Iran as not building nuclear weapons, and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not approved the nuclear weapons programme that was suspended in 2003.”

Meanwhile, last week Gabbard posted a potential three-and-a-half-minute video on X, warning of the risks of a potential nuclear war, and blowing up “Warmongers” to “more than ever before the world is on the brink of nuclear annihilation.”
President Donald Trump said he didn’t mind Gabbard saying “I think they were very close to having it” on Air Force 1 earlier this week.
