The Democratic mayor of Tennessee’s biggest city, accused of thwarting federal immigration efforts, defended his office’s decision to publicly dock the names of immigrants.

The defense of Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell even after the names of federal immigration officials were removed from a public immigration report detailing a month’s worth of immigration-related interactions between local police and federal immigration authorities.

Initially, the public report detailed the names of immigration officers, but following backlash against the move, the names were removed.

“I’m not saying it’s a risk process. They may have some concerns. I’m much more concerned about the overall dynamics in which we’re not marked, unidentified masked people blow people into the vehicle – I think that’s a bigger concern.”

O’Connell added that the move was not “intentional” but quickly followed up with failing to explain what happened as “Doxing” in the first place.

“It’s not the process I characterize as doxing. It was an unintended release of a name that was already part of the public record,” he told reporters. “I don’t think it would be at any additional risk, as they were already part of the public record on calls to the emergency communications department. But that’s not the intention of the executive order that those names are publicly available.”

Fox News Digital contacted O’Connell’s office for comment, but was not back in time for publication.

Larry Adams, assistant field office director for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), told local FOX affiliates at Nashville WZTV that ICE agents disagree that it is not a risk to reveal their name.

“It’s getting more and more difficult,” Adams said of his work under the new administration’s aggressive deportation tactics while on board with WZTV that took place last week. “What really impacts me is understanding the work we do, understanding that we sign up, that is primarily the attacks and threats to our families.”

The agency launched an investigation and began an investigation after Tennessee Republican Rep. Andy Ogles demanded that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) investigate the mayor of Nashville, who allegedly obstructed federal officials. Meanwhile, two parliamentary committees are also investigating him. This requires the city department to report federal immigration communications to the New American office in Nashville, including a request for documents related to O’Connell’s Executive Order 30.

In an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, DHS Deputy Director Tricia Mclaughlin described the dangers associated with federal immigrant officer Dox, saying the act effectively handed the cartel intelligence agency to a “silver platter.”

“These are the tips of the spears, and these are the frontline people trying to make our community safer,” McLaughlin said. “So when Democrats and the media show us who they are, we believe them. The fact that they are fighting to be on the streets of America for people like MS-13s and child rapists.”

McLaughlin has also returned to O’Connell’s claim that the release of the name of an immigration official was a mistake, according to local news outlet Tennessee Lookout.

“They insisted it was a mistake. There is zero chance that it was a mistake, and it would have an impact,” she said by Exguchi.
