Rep. Hank Johnson of D-Georgia was popular in the ’60s by Jimi Hendrix and other artists, and was popular as a criticism of President Donald Trump.

“I hate hurting your ears and everything, but I’m just learning to play the guitar,” he said in a video posted on X on Wednesday.

He said “I’m just learning to play the guitar,” and then began singing anti-Trump parody of the famous song.

“Hey Trump, where are you going with that gun in your hand?” Johnson sang. “I’m going down the street to shoot democracy. You know I want to be king one day.”

American rock guitarist and singer Jimi Hendrix will perform live on stage playing black fender stratocaster guitar at the experience of Jimi Hendrix at Royal Albert Hall in London on February 24, 1969.

Another user simply said, “I love the internet.”

“Heyyy Hank, tune Dang Guitar if possible,” writes another person and pulls directly from the song’s lyrics. Hendrix performed “Hayjoe” most notably at the infamous Woodstock Festival in 1969.

“Democrats do another of their frizzy songs,” said Ben Petersen, director of the National War Room for the National Republican Congressional Committee, posted on X.

“This horrifyingly sounding performance is another waste of our taxes and evidence that it’s useless for Democrats,” conservative influencer Paul A. Cipra wrote to X.
