Exclusive: The White House Office of Science and Technology on Monday directed federal agencies to implement the principles of “gold standard science” to depoliticize science and restore public trust, Fox News Digital learned.

White House Director of Science and Technology Policy Michael Krazios sent guidance to a federal research institute Monday morning, incorporating President Donald Trump’s executive order on “restoring gold standard science.”

In May, President Trump signed an executive order to restore “gold standard science” as the cornerstone of federal scientific research.

“Gold Standard Science” is “reproducible, transparent and counterfeitable” according to your order.

They also “are subject to unbiased peer reviews: clear about errors and uncertainties; skeptical of assumptions; joint and interdisciplinary; accept negative outcomes as positive outcomes, free from conflicts of interest.”

The executive order revives the first Trump administration’s “scientific integrity policy” and “ensures that science is no longer manipulated or misused to justify political purposes.”

“President Trump’s Gold Standard Science EO will transform federal science conduct and management, from research design to public communication, to strengthen scientific research, rebuild public trust, and to continue to be a global leader in rigorous, evidence-based science,” Kratsios told Fox News Digital. “But federal agencies are just part of our country’s research ecosystem.”

Kratsios said, “American universities, scientific journals, industry and philanthropy leaders all play an important role in improving the overall quality of research and encourage this executive action to function as a model for the entire scientific enterprise.”

Kratsios sent a note to federal agencies Monday morning to provide guidance to federal departments and agencies on the implementation of gold standard science “in the implementation and management of all aspects of scientific activities, from research design to public communication.”

“By adopting these standards, institutions will strengthen scientific research, rebuild public trust, and ensure that the United States continues as a global leader in rigorous, evidence-based science,” the memo says.

Kratsios said that “Gold Standard Science” represents a commitment to the highest standard of scientific integrity defined by nine core doctrines: reproducibility; transparency, transparency, error and interdisciplinary, collaborative and interdisciplinary; skepticism of its findings and assumptions; interesting. ”

“These doctrines ensure that federally supported research and research used in federal decision-making is transparent, rigorous and impactful, allowing federal decision-making to be informed by the most reliable, reliable and unbiased scientific evidence available,” Kratsios wrote in his guidance.

However, “gold standard science” is not limited to science, Kratzos said it is important to tackle complex challenges in energy innovation and national security.

“In an age of rapid technological advancements and increased public scrutiny, the science that federally funded and performed to the federally, and its use in federal decision-making must go beyond condemnation,” he wrote.

Regarding implementing science “without conflicts of interest,” Kratsios said it was essential to ensure that research was “designed, executed, reviewed and reported from financial, personal, or institutional influences that could undermine bias or objectivity.”

“This approach is important to create trustworthy and trustworthy new knowledge to support scientific integrity, promote public confidence and ensure that results reflect evidence rather than external agenda,” the memo says. “To maintain freedom from conflicts of interest, researchers, reviewers and managers must disclose all relevant affiliations, funding sources and relationships related to the science implemented, complying with stringent ethical standards supported by strong institutional oversight, transparent reporting systems and independent expert review mechanisms.”

China’s AI innovation is “accelerating”, but the US remains dominant, the White House says

Kratsios said the agency “needs to prioritize the implementation and management of scientific research from conflicts of interest and advances unbiased science,” and “disclosure of all relevant conflicts of interest by researchers, reviewers and institutional staff involved in the funding or performance of federal research.”

“These efforts include reviews of research proposals, publications, peers, merits, and comprehensive, standardized disclosure of all financial, personal, or institutional interests to the data repository, requiring comprehensive and standardized disclosure using clear, standardized protocols to identify, mitigate and manage potential biases,” the memo says. “Institutions must mandate the use of an independent surveillance approach and enforce strict interest conflict policies.”

The agency will have 60 days to outline plans to implement “Gold Standard Science.” This will ensure that agents plan training and resources to understand new policies, as well as practical use of artificial intelligence-driven tools.

After Trump signed an executive order in May to restore gold standard science, White House officials said investment in biomedical research has declined, along with “serious cases” of fraud and fraud and “serious cases” that cannot replicate scientific methods for the purpose of restoring public trust.

Officials also denounced the policy response to the Covid-19 pandemic and denounced the “awakening DEI initiative” for putting public confidence in government scientists at stake.

Dr. Anthony Faucie, now retired director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has been repeatedly criticised for flip-floping and obfuscation in order to engineer the federal response to Covid-19, with many on the right in particular disregarding and dismissing the legitimacy of federal health authorities.

The order cites the fact that the Biden administration included political compilation from teacher unions in guidance to reopen schools rather than guiding scientific evidence.

Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital in April, Kratsios repeated Trump, saying that the US is a “golden age” and that this special moment is “supported by incredible science and technology.”
