California Highway Patrol officials reportedly declared themselves from Los Angeles, 33, who was reportedly attacked by a driver on a Toyota RAV4 around 2am near the Centinera Avenue Off Ramp on the Eastbound 90 Expressway.
Although exact details of the incident have not been released yet, at least one outlet has described the incident as a “severe vehicle collision.”

“It’s a great sadness that we share alum streets, Chandler Jones ’09,” Bishop of Montgomery High School said in a Facebook post. “Jones is a standout on Bishop’s soccer team and holds the longest kickoff return (97 yards) and the longest fumble recovery (98 yards).”
An honorable mention of the All-American Wide Receiver, Jones continues to hold records for several San Jose state football programs, including Spartans career leaders receiving catches and touchdowns, CBS Sports reports.
Jones arrived in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns training squad in 2014 before moving to the Canadian Football League, where he was on the Montreal Aloet practice squad, and joined the team’s active roster in 2016.

He returned to SJSU, where he worked on the coaching staff as a graduate assistant in 2017, 2023 and 2024, and returned to Alouettes as an assistant defensive back coach.
“The news of losing this incredible person has broken my heart,” former SJSU coach Brent Brennan told CBS Sports. “Our thoughts and prayers go to his friends and family. From his freshman year to coaching our staff as WR, he made it. [SJSU football] Every day is good. The jet was special. Love your brother. ”
