New details emerged in a shocking double murder case outside a sushi restaurant in San Bernardino County over the weekend.
The violence unfolded on June 22 at a parking lot at a strip mall in the 15,200 block of Summit Avenue in Fontana after 9:30pm
Gloria Zamora, a 40-year-old fitness influencer and mother of seven, dated her boyfriend, 43-year-old Hector Garduno, when the couple was fatally injured by their late husband, 45-year-old Thomas Albert Tamayo Lizaraga, and Fontana police.
Investigators said Lizaraga would first target Zamora’s boyfriend before pointing the gun at her.
After hearing the shooting, an unidentified SBSD aide rushed to the car scene discovered the 45-year-old man had fled. After pulling his car into the street, the aide confronted Lizaraga before shooting him fatally.
Zamora and Gardono were rushed to the hospital, where they both got injured.

“My mother was taken by us for no reason. She was murdered by my Stepdad Thomas in an unimaginable act of violence,” Jazlin wrote. “She has left seven beautiful children, ages 8 to 24, and is currently facing the future without the warmth, guidance and unconditional love of her mother.”
At Gofundme, hosted by Izenia Garduno, Hector Garduno was described as a dedicated, loving and hardworking father who did everything he could for his family and his four daughters.
“His death left a hole in our hearts and a falsehood that will never be fulfilled in our lives,” Izenia said.
Investigators said the gun believed to have been used by Lizaraga was recovered at the scene and reserved for evidence.
