The suspect was arrested after it was discovered that a woman was shot dead outside a San Bernardino County home.
On June 23, deputies responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the 9000 block of Santa Fair Venue in Hesperia before 1am.
On arrival, deputies found Hesperia’s victim, Jasmine Keohi, 24, lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. She was declared dead at the scene.
The gunman fled the area. Detectives later identified Jose Antonio Ramirez, 41, of Hesperia, as the main suspect. He is also allegedly shot a second victim that night.
Ramirez was found in a nearby apartment and was taken into custody by SWAT team members.
He was arrested for murder and booked at a high desert detention center where he is being held on $1 million bail.
Details of the filming, including motives and how the suspects and victims are known to each other, were not released.
