Authorities are searching for two suspected robbers related to the shooting and carjacking injured overnight in the Florence Phyrestone area of Los Angeles.
Lawmakers responded to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Officer’s Director after a shooting call in the 9000 block of Compton Avenue around 11:40 p.m. Meza was confirmed with KTLA.
Investigators believe the two suspects tried to steal the pharmacy when the fatal shooting occurred. The male victim, a presumably a security guard, was declared dead at the scene.
The second person injured in the incident was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

As they were running away from the scene, the suspect carjacked the vehicle and is currently being sought. Descriptions of the suspect or stolen vehicle were not immediately available.
Meza said the incident was not gang-related.
