The Pentagon released details on its $96.1 billion budget request on Thursday. This is a budget roadmap that could strip the new F-35 fighter jets in favor of next-generation aircraft and drones.

The budget reaches that figure through “One Big Beautiful Bill,” the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which is the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which is $848.3 billion in the discretionary defense budget and an additional $113 billion through the settlement.

The parallel budget demands include $25 billion for the Golden Dome, the missile defense initiative in President Donald Trump’s hometown.

And as the Trump administration moves forward with a sixth-generation fighter jet called the F-47, the budget calls for a cut in the F-35’s next purchase from 74 to 47. It demands $3.4 billion from the F-47 program.

Authorities are not yet sure whether the Navy’s next-generation fighter aircraft, the F/A-XX, will move forward.

“We are waiting for a decision from the Secretary of the Navy, Secretary of Defense and the President,” the defense official told reporters. “It’s an active conversation, whether you continue with the program or not.”

The program is currently underway with “minimum funding” for design, officials said.

Asked if other service branches could obtain different variants of the F-47 rather than completely separate programs, officials said the idea was under consideration.

“I think almost everything is under consideration [tactical] The air capacity that fighters need as quickly as possible is really what we see most. The schedule for all these programs. ”

The budget will require three new Navy funds through discretionary requests and ship through another 16 requests through a settlement request.

Republicans are thwarting Trump spending plans for the 2026 fiscal year: “Stay until we hand it over.”

The proposed budget calls for $1.97.4 billion for the Army, $29.22 billion for the Navy, $301.1 billion for the Air Force, and $1700.9 billion for the overall defense. The Air Force’s budget request is the Space Force’s $40 billion, an increase of 30% since 2025.

The unusual budgetary structure that officials classify as “one budget, two bills,” when combined with the Department of Energy’s national security spending, is part of a broader $1 trillion defense strategy. The administrative authorities have been working overtime to convince lawmakers to pass one big beautiful bill by July 4th.

The budget calls for a 3.8% salary increase for the military, revealing plans to cut the civilian workforce by 7,286.

The Pentagon plans to continue investing in ammunition and weapons systems. It is likely that it has a longer range and is more effective in the Pacific, but plans to invest in ammunition and surface air for extended range and long-range land anti-ship missiles.

In an ideal world, Congress will pass 12 separate spending bills before the start of the fiscal year on October 1st. However, in recent years it often reduces future headaches. (Reuters/Algora)

The E-7 radar planes are cut “as a significant increase from $588 million to $724 million per aircraft in this contested environment, and an increase in costs between $788 million and $724 million,” a senior defense official confirmed.

In an ideal world, Congress will pass 12 separate spending bills before the start of the fiscal year on October 1st. However, in recent years, bills that temporarily fund the government at the level of the previous year, and omnibus, which includes all funds on one senior vote, often punt bills, supply vast bills.
