The DUI suspect was arrested in connection with a fatal collision in the murder of a 19-year-old in San Bernardino County.
On May 2, Colton police responded to a crash in the 1700 block of East Washington Street and Center Drive in Colton before 7am.
Officials found the victim, Larenz Lamarle Fonden, 19, of Highlands, 19, lying on the road with fatal injuries. While crossing the street he was hit by a driver.
Police said his body appears to have been hit by multiple vehicles since then. He was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
Investigators later identified 30-year-old Antonio Dominguez Medrano of Colton as the suspect. He was arrested on manslaughter of a vehicle while driving drunk. Police also said speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Medrano posted bail and was released from custody. On June 26, the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office filed accusations against Medrano and issued a warrant for the murder.
