Two of Southern California’s leading theme parks, Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain, mark their July 4th holiday with firework displays and family entertainment.
Knott’s Berry Farm at Buena Park will host an Independence Day Fireworks Show in Valencia on Thursday, July 4th at 9:30pm. Six Flags Magic Mountain will light up the sky on both July 4th and 5th, with the show scheduled for each night at 9:15pm.
In addition to nighttime celebrations, both parks continue to offer a full slate of seasonal programming during the day.
At Berry Farm in Knott, “Ghost Town Alive!” guests will return as an interactive experience that places them in the centre of the old west town where they live. Visitors are encouraged to participate in a series of immersive activities and storylines, assuming the role of honorary citizens of the fictional town of Caliko. Live performances and theme encounters are included throughout the day.
Meanwhile, Six Flags Magic Mountain features summer’s “DC™ Heroes and Villains Fest” with programming centered around DC Comics Universe characters. The event combines live entertainment, themed dance parties, character interactions with access to an extensive lineup of thrill rides in the park.
Guests looking to attend are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance. Until July 10th, online admission includes an offer to restock unlimited Coca-Cola drinks with season pass or one-day ticket purchases.
Both parks expect higher than usual attendance during the holiday period, and it is recommended that visitors arrive early and check the park website for their latest schedules and crowd control policies.
